Job Summary:  The primary function of the administrative assistant role is to perform a variety of moderately complex administrative and clerical work in support of unit operations.  This position reports to the Practice Manager and will support several units within the IDD Division.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop working relationships within the agency and the community
  • Coordinating meetings and events
  • Travel locally, as needed to support the units assigned
  • Participate in inter-agency collaborations, as needed
  • Utilize electronic health records, Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel, Share Point and other applications.
  • Preparing check requests and invoices
  • Data entry
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies
  • Maintaining records and databases
  • These duties are performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. 

The Candidate we are looking for is:

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

License: 

Required:

  • Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. 

Experience: 

Preferred:

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in general office administrative work 

Hours:  Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Salary:  $16.27 an hour.
