Job Summary: Under the supervision of a licensed physician, serves as a provider in a community mental health setting, providing medical services within the scope of licensure, training, credentialing, and current standards of care, and per quality criteria of the employer. Determines and documents evidence of psychopathology, if present, and makes a diagnostic formulation. Assess the client's needs and options to satisfy the requirements of the case. Discusses with the client their findings and recommendations. Decides whether initiation of treatment is urgent: medication, labs, other diagnostic tests, hospitalization, social services, detox program; verifies that written consent for medication of the client has been secured, documents therapist's plan, and/or completes other referral medical forms as appropriate. With the consent of the client, the therapist carries out the treatment plan, documents in a prescribed manner the interactions during sessions, and the progress of therapy. Discusses their opinions and/or findings with therapists and makes recommendations when indicated. Works harmoniously with Unit Manager(s), Medical Director, and Chief Medical Officer to define and deliver quality clinical medical care for all patients within the units.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Salary: $133,427.26 annually based on years of licensure, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
