School Based Mental Health Licensed Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

Job Summary:  The Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) for the Parenting in Recovery Program provides assessment, triage, and treatment to children ages 0-17 whose parent(s) have been adjudicated in Travis County Drug Court, the majority of clients served are 3 and under. The clinical treatment will include outpatient services in the modalities of individual and or family therapy. Additional services may include collateral contacts, court testimony, and case consultation. Services will be provided in the environment of the consumer's home or other community setting where the child resides and may require a flexible schedule during the work week.

The School-based Therapist will be located on two campuses in Austin ISD and is responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated school location, and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school. The therapist provides direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual/family/group therapy, crisis intervention, and 90-day assessments/updates to all assigned clients. The therapist will provide consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues of clients (as appropriate). The therapist will maintain 50% face to face billable hours and provide complete and timely documentation according to agency guidelines. The therapist will maintain regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client. 

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in the Psychology/ Human Services field or similar.

License:

Required:

  • Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Required:

  • Possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnoses and treatment for school-aged children and possess the skills necessary to facilitate positive change in a school environment.
  • Strong computer skills

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary: $67,390.17 - $85,914.73, based on years of licensure.
