Job Number: 26-12629
Job Summary: The Youth Crisis Outreach Team (YCOT) LPHA is a licensed, clinician that provides immediate, community-based behavioral health crisis intervention for youth ages 3-17 and their families, with the goal of stabilizing crises in the least restrictive environment and preventing escalation to emergency rooms, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, law enforcement involvement, or out-of-home placement.
Embedded within the Local Mental Health Authority/Local Behavioral Health Authority (LMHA/LBHA) crisis continuum, this position works collaboratively with Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) services and other crisis programs to ensure coordinated, 24/7 system-wide support. The YCOT Clinician delivers developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, in-person crisis response in home, school, and community settings during designated service hours.
The role includes comprehensive crisis assessment, risk evaluation, de-escalation, safety planning, and level-of-care determination. The YCOT Clinician provides short-term, intensive follow-up services for 30-90 days post-crisis to promote stabilization, relapse prevention, and sustained engagement in community-based treatment.
This position supports key system goals to reduce inpatient admissions, divert youth from emergency departments, decrease law enforcement utilization, minimize parental relinquishment and child welfare involvement, and strengthen family stability through coordinated access to behavioral health and community resources.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
Integral Care employees are to strive to maintain a trauma sensitive workplace, to embrace trauma sensitive and informed practices, and to foster a supportive and welcoming environment of care.
