Registered Nurse - Crisis

Job Summary: The primary purpose of the Registered Nurse position is to provide specialized nursing care for clients with mental health conditions in a clinical or residential setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, providing therapeutic support, and delivering training and education to clients. Key duties involve medication management, patient education, crisis intervention, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote wellness and improve client outcomes. This position is expected to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and positive regard for others in verbal, written, and non-verbal communication. The RN is responsible for promoting trauma-informed practices, providing safer care, and fostering a supportive and welcoming environment. This position requires the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting, along with strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with a team and with both internal and external stakeholders. The RN works under the administrative and clinical supervision of the designated RN Supervisor. This position exercises moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing.

License: 

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of Texas.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Experience providing direct care.
  • Bilingual in Spanish. 

Hours: Full-Time.

Workhours: 7:00AM - 3:00PM.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Salary: $45.59 - $58.12 hourly, depending on years of licensure, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
