Mental Health Licensed Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

Job Summary: The LPHA - CARES clinician is a key member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering rapid, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive mental health crisis interventions in the community. This role responds to acute behavioral health needs, providing assessment, de-escalation, safety planning, and short-term stabilization to individuals and families experiencing mental health crises. The clinician collaborates closely and co-responds with community partners, including law enforcement and emergency medical services, to ensure a coordinated and compassionate response to complex behavioral health needs. Services may be provided in dynamic, complex, high-intensity situations that require flexibility and effective critical thinking and problem-solving. The clinician's ability to operate independently and with expertise is required. Other responsibilities include serving as a liaison with community partners to strengthen relationships necessary to provide the appropriate level of care for consumers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide field-based mental health interventions in homes, schools, shelters, correctional facilities, and other community settings in conjunction with EMS and Law Enforcement. 
  • Conduct clinical risk assessments and determine appropriate levels of care and safety planning. 
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques for clients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms and help clients and families stabilize in the least restrictive environment possible.
  • Serve as the subject mental health matter expert on a multidisciplinary team to ensure services provided are compassionate and trauma-informed. 
  • Support efforts to reduce unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, emergency medical services, and police involvement in mental health crises. 
  • Attend team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing training in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. 
  • Complete clinical documentation and crisis assessments in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with agency, state, and legal requirements.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in the Psychology/ Human Services field or similar.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with community mental health or first responder experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Hours: Full-time.

Workdays: Monday-Thursday.

Workhours: 8:00AM-6:00PM.

Salary$67,390.17 - $85,914.73, annually depending on years of licensure, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
