General Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:  This position performs general restoration, renovation, and maintenance work. Work is performed under the general direction of the Facilities Office Manager with the latitude for the exercise of individual knowledge and technical skill. Will serve as a resource specialist in a designated skilled trade. This position requires the ability to be on call 24 hours on a rotating basis.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Knowledgeable of how to use hand tools.
  • Basic AC knowledge.
  • Repaired drywalls, replaced locks, and maintained plumbing/electrical systems to ensure high standards of safety.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identifying electrical, plumbing, or mechanical issues using multimeters or other tools. 
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): routine inspections to extend equipment longevity. 
  • Technical Proficiency: HVAC repair, painting, carpentry, and light electrical work. 
  • Documentation: ability to use software to log maintenance work, track inventory, and report to supervisors. 
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe work environment.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 7:00AM - 4:00PM.

Salary: $21.66 an hour.
