Job Summary: The Integral Care Community Competency Restoration Program (CCRP) provides outpatient competency restoration services to justice-involved individuals who have been found Incompetent to Stand Trial and placed on a 46b commitment, and who have severe mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disorders. Services are provided by our interdisciplinary team in a residential setting at our Next Step facility, and include: medication management via weekly visits with the medical provider, competency restoration training, intensive case management, Peer support, psychoeducation in illness and management recovery, discharge planning, linkage to ongoing care, and other services and supports as needed.
Outpatient competency restoration (OCR) is an exciting field to be in - we help vulnerable individuals receive care in a positive, supportive environment while also helping them move through the complexities of the behavioral health and justice systems. Integral Care has been foundational in the OCR program development in Texas as evidenced by the involvement in the pilot back in 2008 and we've just had the opportunity to expand to better meet the need. The Crisis Specialist QMHP - Office or Residential Based is responsible for ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person-centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. This position operates in a dynamic environment, and performs case management, assessment, and/or service coordination work based on the program's guidelines. The QMHP's duties may include and are not limited to providing continuity of care services, linking consumers and families to all needed resources, and coordinating, monitoring, and updating services and consumer goals. Providing necessary skills training, assisting in crisis prevention, and/or providing community outreach are additional roles. As a team member of programs in crisis services, the QMHP coordinates crisis intervention tools to address client's needs utilizing assessment, multidisciplinary coordination, and efficient clinically appropriate utilization of agency resources. Duties include collaboration with consumers, first responders, and community stakeholders to address immediate mental health crisis and plan for future crisis relapse prevention.
This position follows identified strategies for achievement of unit performance measures and ensures the highest quality of care while effectively utilizing resources. This position may carry an individual caseload. On-call responsibilities may be required dependent upon unit protocols.
Hours: Full-Time; Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 am-6:00 pm.
Salary: Starting Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) salary is at $38,479 - $40,739 based on education, but internal applicants are subject to Integral Care's QMHP career ladder.
