Learning and Development Coordinator

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Learning and Development, the Learning and Development Coordinator works to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training events (both live and online) for all departments by coordinating the logistics, systems and vendor relationships for training programs and sessions. The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the organization's training calendar and training records, marketing departmental initiatives and monitoring compliance. Provides technical expertise for the Relias Learning online platform, including orientations to the online system, back-end settings, user interfaces, database integrity, software upgrades and troubleshooting. This position also supports the delivery of training by managing supplies, assembling materials, and assisting instructors during training sessions as needed.

The Learning and Development Coordinator's duties include:

  • Assists with the onboarding of new hires.
  • Provides timely and courteous service to participants and instructors.
  • Maintains the organization's learning management system and training records, including adding courses to the system, pulling reports, managing user profiles, updating course records, and inputting evaluation feedback.
  • Shows learners, supervisors, instructors, and administrators how to navigate the learning management system.
  • Updates the master training calendar and markets upcoming classes.
  • Maintains the designated training space and associated equipment.
  • Provides support to instructors, including assembling supplies, setting up sign-in sheets and in-room media support as needed.
  • Enters course evaluation forms into the system and transcribes comments.
  • Updates staff training credentials in the electronic health record.
  • Collects and monitors instructor certification records.
  • Monitors staff compliance with training requirements and sends reminders to complete annual refreshers.
  • Maintains awareness of mandatory training requirements outlined by the Texas Administrative Code.
  • Participates in committees that advance staff development.
  • Provides administrative support for Training Day, the annual internal staff development conference.
  • May facilitate training either one-on-one or in a group setting up to 5% of the time.

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

    Education:

    Required:

    • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in psychology, behavioral health, education, or comparable field of study. 

    License

    Required:

    • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • Current CPR Instructor Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

    Experience:

    Required:

    • 1 - 2 years' experience as a learning management system administrator.
    • 1 - 3 years' experience in a customer service position.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Experience in a healthcare education environment preferred.

    Hours: Full-Time. 

    Workdays: Monday - Friday.

    Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

    Salary: $24.64 an hour.
