Mental Health Licensed Therapist Supervisor (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

Job Number: 24-12362

Job Summary: The LPHA Supervisor is a supervisory position within the Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT) 911 and Telehealth program, located in the 911 Call Center in Austin, TX. The mission of the program is to divert and deflect individuals contacting 911 with mental health concerns from police response, connecting them to appropriate mental health resources. The team consists of Mental Health Triage clinicians who provide telephonic intervention, including assessment, triage, intervention, and connection to services. This includes dispatching the EMCOT response team when necessary. Referrals to the program come from Austin Police Department (APD) 911 call takers, Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), the Sobering Center, and EMS, with the potential to expand services to other entities in the future.

This LPHA Supervisor position's primary duties include hiring, training, and managing a new team of QMHP Leads within the call center. The QMHP Lead team will operate 24/7, providing immediate support to mental health triage specialists, assisting with complex call transfers, and addressing problem-solving efforts alongside APD/TCSO telecommunicators. The LPHA Supervisor will collaborate with the Practice Manager to guide the development of policies and procedures for this new team. As the program evolves, the LPHA Supervisor may assume additional responsibilities, such as dispatch oversight for mental health calls across Travis County. While the program is in development and the QMHP Leads are being hired, the LPHA Supervisor will act in the role of QMHP Lead to support operations until the team is fully staffed.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
