Group Facilitators may utilize various evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities to assist individuals to manage stress and cope effectively during times of crisis or episodes of acute psychiatric symptoms. Group Facilitators also provide training to improve communication and interpersonal behaviors to facilitate integration into the community and to develop natural community supports through social/civic organizations, advocacy groups, religious or cultural affiliations, and/or interpersonal relationships. Work is performed under the general supervision of an LPHA with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
