Job Summary: The Oak Springs Clinic Downtown Team (OSCDT) is an Integral Care Housing and Homeless Services expansion program primarily funded by the Downtown Austin Community Court (DACC). OSCDT is tasked with serving individuals experiencing homelessness in the downtown Austin corridor and receives referrals from DACC and the Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST). OSCDT's primary aim is to navigate individuals to housing and provide comprehensive, wrap-around support throughout the process. Addressing mental health, medical, and substance use needs are common goals in addition to housing. OSCDT provides services in the community wherever individuals experiencing homelessness may be found, including city streets, parks, churches, at partner homeless service agencies, and at Pop-Up Resource Centers. OSCDT aims to meet people where they are and provide comprehensive services regardless of housing status.

QMHP responsibilities with OSCDT include providing case management services to individuals with a history of chronic homelessness; meeting individuals in the community; assisting with applications for housing, benefits, or vital documents; referrals to mental health or substance abuse services; assisting with scheduling appointments; providing transportation to appointments; assisting with basic needs such as food, water, and clothing; and providing coping skills training.

This position requires travel around downtown Austin and reimburses for mileage. This position qualifies for public student loan forgiveness and a candidate with LCSW, LPC, LMFT would be able to apply for HRSA student loan repayment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred. 

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred: 

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • One year working in the mental health field.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary: $22.35 - $23.47 an hour based on education.
