Description: This position is currently located in the PASRR - MI (Pre Admission Screening and Resident Review - Mental Illness) unit within the Adult Behavioral Health division of Integral Care, the Local Mental Health Authority for Travis County. Its purpose is to perform moderately complex local authority/service coordination work assisting clients in accessing/linkage to medical, social, educational, financial, and other appropriate services/supports that may help individuals achieve a quality of life and community participation acceptable to the individual/legally authorized representative (LAR). PASRR also provides continuity of care services for individuals who have moved from the Nursing Facility to the community (ICF, HCS, etc)
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
PASRR MI Division completes the PL1 and PASRR Evaluation as required by TMHP/HHSC designed to validate the suspected diagnosis of Mental Illness (MI). The PASRR Evaluation (PE) is designed to ensure the individual is appropriate for placement in a nursing facility and receiving the specialized services needed to improve and maintain the individuals' level of functioning. PASRR adheres to strict timelines per the TAC, Title 40 Part 1 Chapter 17 and all related paperwork must be completed using the LTC (Long-Term Care) Online Portal and Agency EHR System. All evaluations are community based and completed in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Minimum two years' direct client care experience in mental health or mental retardation required. Education may be substituted for experience. Bilingual preferred.
License(s): Center certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) required. Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record required.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
Salary: Starting Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) salary is at $38,479-$40,739 based on education, but internal applicants are subject to Integral Care's QMHP career ladder. Upon successfully passing our agency bilingual exam, an added annual bilingual pay up to $3,730 would apply.
