Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required. Accounting Degree preferred.
Description: Audit employee time sheets for hours worked and accuracy. Maintain, prepare and process payroll for organization personnel. Assist in preparation of payroll related journal entries, create payroll batches. Compile, review and approve payroll. Create check request for payroll related deductions. Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations. Pay payroll taxes. Create journal entries for payroll taxes and payroll expenses. Works continuously on departmental improvements such as training new employees on how they are paid. While educating all new employees on accruals earnings, cell phone allowance, bilingual pay, child support, leave request, FMLA, student loan wages, and garnishments. Calculate and apply retro as applicable to employees receiving a change in pay. Finalize term employees. Research and provide documentations for auditors. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Responsible for the administration of the company time and attendance and payroll policy. Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of payroll and the related customer service. Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
A minimum of one year of experience with time and attendance and payroll processing.
License: Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record required.Certified Payroll Professional, American Payroll Association preferred.
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday.
Salary: $55,602 annually.
