Job Summary: The Director of Grants Finance performs complex financial leadership duties specific to grant and contract management. This role ensures accurate tracking, billing, reporting, forecasting, and compliance across federal, state, local, and foundation funding sources. The position supports both program managers and finance leadership by interpreting fiscal requirements, analyzing financial performance, reconciling financial data, and maintaining audit documentation. The role requires expertise in governmental accounting, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and ERP systems, and works under limited supervision with significant latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

The Director of Grants Finance provides strategic oversight of the full grant financial lifecycle-from budget development and award setup through billing, revenue recognition, monitoring, and closeout. This position supervises the grant accounting team and serves as the primary financial authority on restricted funding compliance and performance.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • CPA or advanced financial certification (active or inactive) preferred.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in grant finance, fund accounting, or governmental finance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with: 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), Texas Grant Management Standards (TXGMS), Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Governmental accounting (GASB/GAAP), Budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Experience with public sector or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Familiarity with government funding sources and compliance requirements strongly preferred.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary: $133,427.26 annually.
