Description: The Director of Medical Analytics reports directly to the Chief Medical Director and works with the Director of Operations and is responsible, as assigned, for developing, overseeing, and monitoring key processes and systems to support excellent, efficient client care through quality assurance activities, staff training, business process activities, program evaluation, and other activities integral to maximizing revenues, meeting performance metrics and outcomes, and ensuring data integrity in support of medical service delivery and standards of care in nursing and in support of medical and psychiatric services. Work includes the creation of necessary processes to operationalize as well as monitor performance and effectiveness of new and ongoing initiatives. This position provides support and guidance to all parts of the agency's clinical operations while working in collaboration with non-clinical areas including fiscal operations, quality management, utilization management, and management and information systems. The Director of Medical Analytics will provide a monthly written summary of all relevant activities and present at the Chief Operations Officer's Directors meeting.
The Director of Medical Analytics is expected to promote a culture of care that provides top quality clinical services to all individuals served by Integral Care. The Director of Medical Analytics will provide nursing policy leadership and clinical consultation for Integral Care and its programs. The Director of Medical Analytics will work collaboratively to ensure continuous regulatory Accreditation and Survey Readiness and will provide Risk Management and Quality Improvement to ensure that all nursing staff are meeting accepted Standards of Care and delivering excellent clinical care to patients, offering quality nursing support to the medical staff. The Director of Medical Analytics will ensure that each nurse on staff is properly credentialed and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws. This position will, in collaboration with leadership, ensure that Integral Care maintains at all times a robust nursing work force that is capable of effectively meeting the needs of all clients served. The Director of Medical Analytics will provide clinical coverage as appropriate during periods of nursing staff shortage; and the Director will regularly convene meetings (on a monthly basis at minimum) of all Integral Care nursing staff for the purpose of sharing information, education and support. The Director of Medical Analytics will clinically supervise and evaluate the clinical work performance of all supervisory nursing personnel on a regular basis as prescribed by Integral Care policy. The Director of Medical Analytics will create new nursing policies as warranted and update existing nursing policies annually and as appropriate to help continually improve the level of care for each patient. Additionally, this position should identify and recommend technology innovations and opportunities to expand and customize the reporting and data analytic platforms to meet stakeholder data needs, stratify patient populations by risk and support improvement of organizational performance. The Director of Medical Analytics will develop the clinical and analytical capabilities required for holistic value-based care in a changing healthcare environment. The Director will proactively involve and collaborate with Integral Care program leadership, health promotion teams, prescribers, manage care organizations and local partners in identifying and improving patient experience, costs of care and health outcomes.
The Director of Medical Analytics will regularly attend CQC meetings as scheduled and implements QA required for any nursing allegations. The Director of Medical Analytics will participate in Integral Care's Nursing Peer Review process as determined by the Chief Medical Officer and as dictated by Integral Care policy. In coordination with the Director of Learning and Development, supervises development, delivery, and tracking of in-service education and demonstration of competency to equip nursing staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, quality care and respect for patients. Work collaboratively with agency leadership to ensure that medical equipment, supplies, and facilities are properly maintained in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Serve as Infection Prevention & Control Officer and facilitates development, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation of infection prevention and control activities within Integral Care on a regular basis (monthly basis at minimum).
A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a nursing director. Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience and expertise working in direct patient care in a multi discipline environment. Demonstration of experience in clinical data analytics and evaluation of program processes. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and coordinate staff, community stakeholders and executive leadership.
Licenses: Advanced Practice Registered nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) is required. Integral Care Drivers must have a current and valid Texas driver's license and be approved for automobile liability coverage under the Fund.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Salary: $113,022 annually.
