Medical Administrative Assistant

Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of moderately complex clerical work in support of the unit operations. Assignments involve difficult and responsible work in office, business, retrieving message off the Medication Line, staffing medication refills requests with the psychiatrist and/or nurse, building schedules in Scheduler for the psychiatrist with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Certified Medical Assistant.

Experience:

Required:

  • Three years experience in general office administrative work.
  • Three years experience in customer service.
  • Two years experience in multi-line telephone system.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary: $20.83 an hour.
