Supported Employment & Education Specialist (QMHP)

Job Summary: The Educational/Employment Specialist QMHP is responsible for ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. This position operates in a dynamic environment, and performs case management, assessment, and/or service coordination work based on the program's guidelines. This position works as a community based program, connecting with individuals in the community, at the place of employment, place of education, or other community areas that are appropriate for service provision. This position works with individuals that are 15-30 years of age that have experienced their first episode of psychosis. This position is part-time, for up to 24 hours per week. There is flexibility built in to the days/hours where the 24 hours per week are accrued. The QMHP's duties may include and are not limited to providing continuity of care services, linking consumers and families to all needed resources, and coordinating, monitoring, and updating services and consumer goals. Providing necessary skills training, assisting in crisis prevention, and/or providing community outreach are additional roles. As a team member of programs in crisis services, the QMHP coordinates crisis intervention tools to address client's needs utilizing assessment, multidisciplinary coordination, and efficient clinically appropriate utilization of agency resources. Duties include collaboration with consumers, first responders, and community stakeholders to address immediate mental health crisis and plan for future crisis relapse prevention. This position follows identified strategies for achievement of unit performance measures and ensures the highest quality of care while effectively utilizing resources. This position may carry an individual caseload. On-call responsibilities may be required dependent upon unit protocols.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred. 

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bilingual.

Hours: Part-Time. 

Workdays: Monday - Friday (Flexible). 

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Flexible, 24 hrs/week). 

Salary: $23.25 - $24.41 an hour, based on education.
