Resource Development Grants Manager

Job Summary: Working under the direction of the Director of Resource Development, the Resource Development Grants Manager leads Integral Care's and Integral Care Foundation's grant development and management activities for public and private funding. This position manages a comprehensive grants program including research and identification of grant funding sources, creation and submission of high quality grant proposals and relationship management with potential and existing local, state and national public funding sources. This position is also responsible for developing the Agency's grant goals and implementing annual solicitation plans. In addition, strategizes with Resource Development and Communications Teams on ideas, activities, and tactics to strengthen resource development efforts and increase donor revenue. This position requires a leader who is self-directed and motivated, with excellent writing skills and research skills. Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and seek to improve the process and workflow by which grants are made - from how grants are sourced through the application process, to due diligence review, approval, grant agreement generation, payment, grant reporting, and grant closing.

  • Partner with Program Directors and Executive Management Team to ensure that policies and procedures are followed and all grants adhere to federal and state legal and tax requirements as well as organization-defined best practices for proposal development, due diligence, and grantee reporting.

  • Maintain and manage reports that provide timely and relevant data to stakeholders across the organization and community to show financial transparency.

  • Conducting research of new and competitive renewal grant funding sources through monitoring of local, state and federal announcements, utilizing grant research tools and keeping abreast of private foundations.

  • Monitoring and tracking status of grant proposals. Serves as agency Administrative Official to provide real-time review, support, and troubleshooting for SAMHSA grants

  • Working with leadership to develop a funding strategy to fill gaps in services.

  • Reviewing government agency funding announcements to determine feasibility of proposal submission.

  • Continually stay abreast of new developments in grant management best practices and technologies and their applicability to the needs of Integral Care and Integral Care Foundation. Identify opportunities and develop partnerships both internally and externally to build innovative, sustainable tools, and services that benefit the both. Assisting with writing assignments based on program needs to fulfill grant requirements: newsletters, funding reports, program materials.

  • Works with Director of Communications & Engagement and Communications Team on marketing and media efforts, including digital and print material and content creation as it relates to fundraising campaigns, events and donor cultivation and retention.

  • Creates and maintains donor dashboard to be used for Board of Directors, fundraising committee, business office and other recipients

  • Constructs campaign stories with a focus on fundraising language for programs such as year-end giving, donor opportunities, and giving day events.

  • Helps write copy for fundraising website

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This position is highly collaborative with Communications, Programs, Finance, and Contract Compliance and requires a team player.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field

Licenses:

  • Current and valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 5 years' work experience in grant development.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining funding relationships in support of organization's mission.

  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information (technical, legal, financial, and anecdotal) and communicate clearly the key information.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data integrity.

  • Experience with mental illness, substance use disorder, homelessness or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit behavioral health sector and/or government/non-profit sector.

Hours: Full-Time; 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.

Salary: $68,047 annually.
