Job Summary: The SOAR Outreach and Engagement Specialist completes SOAR applications and provides specialized training, advocacy and assistance to consumers who may be eligible and wish to apply for SSI/SSDI benefits. Services are provided to identified individuals who are unhoused or at risk of being unhoused accompanied by significant behavioral health, medical, and/or substance abuse issues utilizing a recovery-based and trauma - informed perspective. 

The SOAR Outreach and Engagement Specialist operates in a dynamic environment, develops extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and cultivates a clinical skill set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members. PATH provides services in the community wherever individuals experiencing homelessness may be found; Including city streets, parks, churches, and partner homeless service agencies. The SOAR Specialist may operate in non- traditional settings and unstructured environments to meet individuals where they are. 

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Masters degree preferred.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

• Bilingual preferred.
• Experience working directly with people experiencing homelessness is preferred. 

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

Salary: $23.25 - $24.41 an hour based on education.
