Job Summary:  This position is assigned to the Hospital and Jail Alternative Program of Austin Travis County Integral Care as the primary work site. The purpose of the position is to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing focused routine health services to clients, providing assistance to the psychiatrist with reviews of medication and medical histories, implementing appropriate aspects of client care within the RN's scope of practice, implementing the treatment plan for clients with common health problems and well defined learning needs, and interfacing with the medical community regarding medical issues pertaining to clients. Will assume accountability and responsibility for the quality of nursing care provided to clients. At this level, work is performed under physician supervision and RN supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 


  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing 



  • Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. 
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of Texas. 



  • A minimum of one year experience providing care for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness

Hours:  Relief, 10pm-6am, 6pm-6am, 6am-2pm, 6am-6pm. 

Salary:  $28.87 - $37.81 an hour depending on years of licensed experience
