Mental Health Licensed Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

Job Summary: The Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST) is a partnership between Integral Care, Austin Community Court, ATCEMS Community Health Paramedics, and Austin Police Department engaging in outreach services with people experiencing homelessness in downtown Austin. HOST provides services in the community wherever individuals experiencing homelessness may be found, including city streets, parks, churches, libraries, at partner homeless service agencies, and at pop-up events throughout the city.

LPHA responsibilities with HOST include assisting with emergency department, psychiatric, and criminal justice diversions; completing mental health assessments; facilitating admissions into crisis respite and/or ongoing mental health services; completing coordinated housing assessments; assisting with applications for housing, benefits, or vital documents; referrals to substance abuse services; assisting with scheduling appointments; providing transportation to appointments in HOST vehicles; connecting clients with shelter; assisting with basic needs such as food, water, and clothing; and providing coping skills training.

Ideal candidates will be adaptable, resourceful, and persistent. Experience working directly with people experiencing homelessness is preferred, but not required.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in the Psychology/ Human Services field or similar.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Experience: 

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • At least two years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness

Hours: Full-time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 6:30AM - 2:30PM.

Salary$74,297.27 - $94,721.12 based on years of licensure.
