Relief Medical Administrative Assistant

Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of moderately complex clerical work in support of the unit operations.  Assignments involve difficult and responsible work in office, business, retrieving message off the Medication Line, staffing medication refills requests with the psychiatrist and/or nurse, building schedules in Scheduler for the psychiatrist with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Administrative Tech I work under the direct supervision of the Executive Assistant or Business Manager-Support Staff Supervisor.

Medical Administrative Assistant Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant

Medical Administrative Assistant License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Medical Administrative Assistant Experience:

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of office procedure, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions (written procedures and oral instructions)
  • Skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database computer applications
  • Ability to prepare and main records, files, and report

Hours: ReliefMonday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $20.02 an hour.
