Landlord Outreach Specialist (QMHP)

Job Summary: This position services to coordinate appropriate services and landlord outreach to facilitate the homeless or at risk of homeless client's success in achieving and maintaining the maximum possible level of independent functioning and housing. Services include assisting in housing orientations, the housing application process, completing necessary housing authority paperwork with landlords and communicating with housing authorities to ensure that all necessary documents are completed in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for schedule housing inspections, attend housing inspections with landlords, overseeing the lease signing process with the consumer and landlord, developing/maintaining relationships with landlords, providing education to landlords and individualized personal centered care to consumers and coordinating with other homeless service providers to end chronic homelessness. This service is done by working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and community partners to assist consumers to obtain/maintain housing stability and promote wellness.  At this advanced level, caseloads are complex and unstable with increased need for crisis intervention. Work is performed under moderate supervision of the Landlord Outreach Team Lead.  On call rotation required for after hour crisis services.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a Bachelor's Degree majoring in a social, behavioral, or human services field.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Center certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum two years' direct client care experience in mental health or mental disabilities.

Hours: Full-Time; Monday-Friday with flexibility, 40 hours a week.

Salary: $22.35 - $23.47 an hour.
