Job Summary: The Director of Nursing (DON) must have at least 5 years of experience in nursing health care and preferably 1 -3 years of experience as a nursing supervisor to include responsibilities for infection control. Must display an understanding of local, state and federal laws and guidelines. The DON is expected to behave with professionalism, empathy, and positive regard for others in verbal, written, and non-verbal communications. The goal is to promote trauma informed practices, provide suicide safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment that promotes racial and health equity Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team, including the medical team, programs, and administration. May require a flexible work schedule.
The DON provides clinical nursing policy leadership and clinical nursing consultation for Integral Care and its programs. The DON will comply with the following: Lead the nursing staff in delivering excellent clinical care to patients and offering quality nursing support to the medical staff. Lead recruitment and retention of nurses. Oversee nursing practices ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and rules. Ensure that each nurse on staff is properly credentialed and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws. Regularly convene meetings (quarterly basis at minimum) of all Integral Care nursing leadership for the purpose of sharing information, education and support. Participate regularly in program management team meetings as scheduled. Evaluate the clinical work performance of all supervisory nursing personnel on a regular basis as prescribed by Integral Care policy. Create new clinical nursing policies and update existing clinical nursing policies annually and as appropriate to help continually improve the level of care for each patient. Implement clinical quality improvement programs designed to ensure delivery of the highest possible levels of service. Regularly attends CQC meetings and implements QA required for any clinical nursing allegations. Coordinate and/or develop on-going clinical QA activities for nursing services to monitor nursing compliance with standards and regulatory requirements through rounds, interviews, and record reviews on a regular basis (monthly basis at minimum). Compile summary of clinical nursing findings for CQC meetings. In coordination with the Director of Learning and Development, supervise development, delivery, and tracking of clinical in-service education and demonstration of competency to equip nursing staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, quality care and respect for patients. Work collaboratively with agency leadership to ensure that medical equipment, supplies, and facilities are properly maintained in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Assist in the coordination of nursing services with all other units. Prepare annual nursing budget and submits budget for approval of the Chief Medical Officer. Serve as Infection Prevention & Control Officer and facilitates development, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation of infection prevention and control activities within Integral Care on a regular basis (monthly basis at minimum).
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

License:
Required:
5 years' experience in nursing health care.
Must have a current and valid driver's license.
Preferred:
1-3 years' experience as a nursing supervisor preferred to include responsibilities for infection control.
Hours: Full-time.
Workdays; Monday-Friday.
Workhours; 8:00PM-5:00PM (on call rotation).
Salary: $136,005.00 - $173,393.00 annually.
