Foster Care Therapist (LPHA)

Job Summary: The Foster Care Therapist will be responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients in home and school-based settings. The therapist provides direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual and family therapy, and crisis intervention.  Therapist will effectively collaborate with the treatment team which may include (but not be limited to): foster parents, CPS, CASA, Child Placing Agency, birth parents, fictive kin, and other mental health professionals.  Therapist will maintain 55% face to face billable hours and provide complete and timely documentation according to agency guidelines. Integral Care uses a computerized medical records system.  Applicants must have strong computer and organizational skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to build strong rapport with youth who present with challenging behaviors.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnoses and treatment for children and adolescents.
  • Must have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and loss. 
  • Must be able to effectively work with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Must be able to effectively partner with families. 

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Hours: Full-Time; Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm but may vary depending on need.

Salary: $55,602 - $63,616 annually, depending on licensed experience. This position is eligible for an additional Bilingual Pay stipend.
