Court Liaison Job Summary:The Liaison provides moderately complex case management/service coordination/continuity of care work assisting racially and culturally diverse individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice setting. The Liaison will develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and cultivate a clinical skill-set by forging therapeutic relationships with

diverse community members. Interventions and services are primarily provided within the Travis County Criminal Justice facilities but there may be some work provided in the community. This position may require the use of a personal automobile.

This position works in partnership with Integral Care staff and other community agencies involved in the criminal justice system and civil probate system. The Liaison will participate in diagnostic evaluation and provide assessment to ensure individuals receive appropriate mental health care as needed while in jail and to assist with accessing/linkage to housing resources and medical, social, educational, vocational, financial, and other appropriate services and supports that will support them in their recovery. All services should be trauma-informed, recovery focused, and in line with a Housing First philosophy, helping clients to secure independent housing, gain skills to seek competitive employment, and achieve progress in their recovery.

The Liaison may also facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and/or utilize other evidenced-based interventions or therapeutic modalities. Although staff members in this position are not typically LPHA's, staff members in this position are working under the supervision of a LPHA who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments, diagnoses and treatment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Court Liaison Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. 

Court Liaison License: 

Required:

Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record. 

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Salary:  Starting Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) salary is at $38,479-$40,739 based on education, but internal applicants are subject to Integral Care's QMHP career ladder.
