Job Summary:  The QMHP Assistant/Community Service Assistant (CSA) will respond to all issues related to the provision of a low demand, 24 hour emergency shelter.  Activities will be directed toward providing a safe therapeutic environment where residents can establish a trusting relationship with each other, the staff and the program.  The QMHP Assistant/CSA works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

  • Knowledge of community resources and of program policies and procedures.
  • Ability to assess client needs, to coordinate client services, and to implement plans generated by the treatment team.
  • Skills necessary to document work performed utilizing appropriate system(s).



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent


  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. 



  • Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. 



  • Minimum of 1 year experience in working with homeless individuals

Hours:  Full-time, 40 hours. 

Salary:  $29,320 annually.
