Job Summary:
The Benefits and Eligibility Specialist (BES) is primarily responsible for obtaining, updating and verifying pertinent health benefits information and proof of residency. The BES provides specialized advocacy and assistance to consumers who may be eligible and wish to apply, or assist in appeal, for Supplemental Security Income/Social Security Disability Income, Medicaid, Patient Assistance Program, Affordable Care Act plans, and other healthcare benefits. The BES is supervised with under the general supervision of the Executive Assistant/Office Manager in close coordination with the unit Practice Manager. BES staff are also tasked with providing education about eligibility for services guidelines and unique health benefit coverage(s).

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Salary: $16.27 an hour.
