Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary: The primary purpose of the RN is to provide health care, training, and education clients enrolled in The Oak Springs Clinic Downtown Team (OSCDT) and Bungalows Apartments. This position is expected to behave with professionalism, empathy, and positive regard for others in verbal, written, and non-verbal communications. The goal is to promote trauma informed practices, provide suicide safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment that promotes racial and health equity. This position calls for strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team and with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is under the administrative supervision of the program manager or practice manager at the RN's primary work site. This position is under the clinical oversight of the program's designated RN Supervisor. This position exercises moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

The Bungalows Apartment Complex is a 60-unit permanent supportive housing program that provides on-site case management, mental health, and substance use services. The apartments are scheduled to open in Summer 2024.

OSCDT is an Integral Care Housing and Homeless Services expansion program primarily funded by the Downtown Austin Community Court (DACC). OSCDT is a community-based program that is tasked with serving individuals experiencing homelessness in the downtown Austin corridor and receives referrals from DACC and the Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST). OSCDT's primary aim is to navigate individuals to housing and provide comprehensive, wrap-around support throughout the process. Addressing mental health, medical, and substance use needs are common goals in addition to housing. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed as a RN in the state of Texas.

Experience:

Required:

  • Two years working with individuals with mental health concerns. 

Preferred:

  • Bilingual.

    Hours: Full-Time.

    Workdays: Monday-Friday.

    Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

    Salary: $36.41 - $48.74 an hour depending on years of licensure.
