Part-Time Substance Use Rehabilitation Specialist (QMHP)

Job Summary: Rehabilitation Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training to individuals recovering from mental health concerns by utilizing a recovery based, person-centered care, and trauma-informed perspective. Rehabilitation Specialists operate in a dynamic environment, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and cultivate a clinical skill-set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members. Rehabilitation Specialists work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. Rehabilitation Specialists provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s) at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services. Rehabilitation Specialists coordinate clinical and substance use treatment tools to address client's needs, utilizing assessment, multidisciplinary coordination, and efficient, clinically appropriate utilization of agency resources. The position requires extensive knowledge of substance use disorders and working knowledge of treatment techniques that are effective with chemically dependent clients. Frequent service coordination with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in achieving independent functioning. Rehabilitation Specialists may provide all or some of the following: deliver therapeutic interventions fostering skills necessary to manage symptoms, provide continuity of care services, link consumers and families to all needed resources, and coordinating, monitoring, & updating services and consumer goals. Rehabilitation Specialists may also facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and/or utilize other evidenced-based interventions or therapeutic modalities. Although staff members in this position are not typically LPHAs, staff members in this position are working under the supervision of a LPHA who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments and treatment. 

This is a community based position, with mileage reimbursement. This unit works with individuals who are between 15-30 years old and are recovering from early onset psychosis. This position will focus on substance use recovery as it intersects with psychosis and mental health symptoms.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. 

 License: 

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Hours: Part-Time. 

Workdays: Varies. 

Workhours: 20 hours/week between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.

Salary: $22.35 - $23.47 an hour based on education.
