Job Summary: The Parent Partner (PP) is under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor of Case Management Services. The PP provides information and referral, case management, informal support, and education services to parents whose children are receiving public services for mental health related issues. As a member of the treatment team, the PP works towards improving the treatment outcomes of children's mental health services. The PP does this by providing information about process rights, services, resources, trainings, community support systems, peer mentors and educational resources available.
This position is part-time (20 hours a week) and works with families and youth ages 15-30 years of age who have experienced psychosis in the last two years. This is a grant funded position that is primarily community based. The Parent Partner (PP) is a member of the coordinator specialty care treatment team who provides information and referral, case management, informal support, and education services to parents whose child has a mental health related diagnosis or who are beginning to experience the onset of mental health symptoms. The PP works collaboratively with the coordinated specialty care treatment team towards improving the treatment outcomes of children's mental health services. The PP does this by providing information about process rights, services, resources, training, community support systems, peer mentors and educational resources available. All services should be recovery focused and in line with the philosophy of decreasing the duration of untreated psychosis while increasing positive opportunities in social, academic, and vocational development. This position requires completion of the family partner certification within a year of hire.

Hours: Part-time; Monday & Friday 12:00-6:00 PM; Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Occasional nights and weekends.
