Job Summary:  Integral Care's Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT) seeks to provide people with professional mental health care at the time of crisis and decrease law enforcement intervention whenever possible.  This groundbreaking project is made possible through Integral Care's collaboration with great community partners who are dedicated to bringing quality mental health care to individuals and their families experiencing a mental health crisis. Integral Care's EMCOT partners with Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, Austin Police Department, and the Travis County Sheriff's Office to bring mental health services to people wherever they are in the community. This position will function as part of Integral Care's exciting and innovative EMCOT. This position will be co-located at the 911 Call Center to receive direct transfer of calls from 911 Call Takers and will provide telephonic crisis mental health screenings to divert mental health calls from police to community based mental health providers. The goal is to ensure individuals in our community receive professional mental health services from the time they call 911 to the time a mental health professional arrives to assist and support the individual experiencing a mental health crisis. This position will also rotate shifts to be available for Telehealth crisis screening and assessments as well as being partnered in the community with another clinician or health care provider to do community- based crisis screenings and assessments from referrals received by first responder partners and EMCOT staff stationed at the 911 Call Center.

Office locations rotate between 5015 S IH 35; and 911 Call Center (CTECC) 5010 Old Manor Road, 78723. There is extensive latitude for the exercise of independent judgement.
