Job Number: 24-8139
Job Summary: The Rehabilitation Specialist position is a great fit for individuals looking to hone their clinical skills and accrue hours towards advanced clinical licensure. Integral Care offers free, board approved clinical supervision to Master's level Social Workers and LPC-Associates. This position is based out of the Stonegate Clinic and serves clients living in and around South Austin.
Rehabilitation Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training, emotional support, intensive case management, and service coordination to vulnerable individuals with complex needs, including psychiatric and/or co-occurring substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions. Rehabilitation Specialists utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery focused approach to forge therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse individuals, helping them define and facilitate desired life outcomes, cultivate independent living skills, maintain housing, and more effectively manage their mental and behavioral health needs.
Rehabilitation Specialists participate in diagnostic evaluations at regular intervals and provide assessment of individual strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring substance use disorders to ensure optimal and personalized services. Frequent service coordination with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in achieving independence and may include access to medical care, substance use treatment, nutrition, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, or other services as required to meet their goals and needs.
Rehabilitation Specialists work under general supervision of the unit manager with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. At this level of care, client caseloads are relatively stable with limited need for crisis intervention. This position may require occasional transportation of consumers in a personal and/or agency vehicle. Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field and/or two years' direct client care experience in mental health strongly preferred. Education may be substituted for experience.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
Integral Care employees are to be committed to fostering an open, inclusive, and supportive environment that welcomes and embraces diversity in all forms. Integral Care defines diversity broadly to include race, ethnicity, abilities (mental/physical), gender, gender identity, immigrant status, language, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, veteran status, age, and other groups.
Integral Care employees are to strive to maintain a trauma sensitive workplace, to embrace trauma sensitive and informed practices, and to foster a supportive and welcoming environment of care.
