Registered Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary: The Nurse Supervisor provides clinical oversight for nursing staff. This position will provide clinical supervision to nursing and direct care staff, will identify, develop and implement nursing processes in compliance with contractual guidelines, the Nursing Practice Act and nursing best practices, train nursing staff about nursing processes, develop quality assurance tools specific to nursing processes, co-develop evaluation tools specific to nursing processes together with the Division Evaluator, further develop health education tools for staff use and represent professional issues specific to nursing practice in management meetings.

The Nurse Supervisor is required to have oversight on more than one unit, oversight on Nursing productivity for assigned areas, represent the division in Infection Prevention Committee, or all other Committees. Position serves as a point of review and monitoring of clinical incidents under the supervision of Director(s) and in coordination with the management team. At this level, work is performed with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The nurse supervisor is a member of the management team and may be assigned clinical responsibility for one or more units.

Collaborate with Director of Nursing and Program Managers with initial and annual review of the unit nursing policy and procedure. This position is responsible directly to the Program Manager, Director Of Nursing and Medical Director.

Flexible schedule and on-call rotation may be required. Other duties may be assigned.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing. Master's degree preferred.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of Texas.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years management experience and 3-5 years of experience providing direct care to patients with mental illness and substance use disorders and or individuals with IDD.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workhours: 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Workdays: Monday-Friday. RNS On Call Rotation.

Salary: $101,489 - $129,389 annually depending on licensure.
