Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary:  This position provides clinical nursing care with the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program, working in the community.  AOT is the practice of delivering outpatient treatment under court order to adults with severe mental illness who meet specific criteria, such as a prior history of repeated hospitalizations or arrest. It is a tool for assisting those individuals most at risk for the negative consequences of not receiving treatment. The primary purpose of the team is to provide recovery focused intensive community based services for people who experience complex conditions to foster a connection to the community and build support networks that promote wellness, while decreasing the need for inpatient hospitalization and/or incarceration. The position will utilize best practices identified by health care research; will assess client needs and initiate actions to meet those needs within the scope of practice. The position will participate on an intensive treatment team, provide direct client care, in their homes and provide professional recommendations and guidance to this team and promote the team functioning to meet client needs. 

Registered Nurse (RN) Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

Preferred: 

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing 

Registered Nurse (RN) License: 

Required:

• Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. 
• Licensed as an RN in the state of Texas 

Registered Nurse (RN) Experience:

Preferred:

• One - three years' experience providing direct care for active substance users, mentally ill or developmentally or intellectually disabled individuals 

Hours:  Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. 

Salary:  $26.73 - $34.99 an hour.
