RN Supervisor

Education:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.  Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Nursing is preferred.

Description:  The Nurse Supervisor provides clinical oversight for nursing staff. This position will provide clinical supervision to nursing and direct care staff, will identify, develop and implement nursing processes in compliance with contractual guidelines, the Nursing Practice Act and nursing best practices, train nursing staff about nursing processes, develop quality assurance tools specific to nursing processes, co-develop evaluation tools specific to nursing processes together with the Division Evaluator, further develop health education tools for staff use and represent professional issues specific to nursing practice in management meetings. Position serves as a point of review and monitoring of clinical incidents under the supervision of Associate Director and in coordination with the management team. At this level, work is performed with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The nurse supervisor is a member of the management team and may be assigned clinical responsibility for one or more units.

The Nurse Supervisor is required to have oversight on more than one unit, oversight on Nursing productivity for assigned areas, represent the division in Infection Prevention Committee, or all other Committees.

Flexible schedule is required and will be required to be on- call rotation. Collaborate with Director of Nursing and Program Manager with initial and annual review of the unit nursing policy and procedure. This position is responsible directly to the Program Manager, Director of Nursing and Medical Director.

License(s):  Required to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.  Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record required.

Hours:  Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm with flexibility. 

Salary:  $82,298 annually.
