Qualified Mental Health Professional Team Lead (QMHP)

Job Summary: The QMHP Team Lead is responsible for leading the team's service delivery and ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person-centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. The QMHP Lead operates in a dynamic environment, develops extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and cultivates a clinical skill-set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members. The QMHP Lead participates in diagnostic evaluations and provides assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s) to ensure optimal and personalized services. The QMHP Lead identifies and implements strategies for ongoing program development and achievement of unit performance measures and engages staff to ensure the highest quality of care and effective use of provider staff time and resources. This position is responsible for oversight of assigned program and personnel and may carry an individual case load. 

This project works to fill service gaps for adult residents experiencing a serious mental illness within the HHSC, Foundation Communities partnership program. Properties support Single Room Occupancy (SRO) tenants on site, at eight locations in Travis County. Individuals served may present with co-occurring substance use disorders. The program focuses on promoting housing retention and connecting to both internal and community services to achieve whole health outcomes.

The Qualified Mental Health Practitioner (QMHP) Lead will use best practices to provide supported housing services including hoarding intervention, motivational interviewing, harm reduction and eviction prevention to individuals at risk of housing instability. The QMHP Lead will also serve as an agency liaison between Integral Care and Foundation Communities and provide collaboration, service coordination and connection to care.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.

License: 

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday-Friday.

Workhours: 9:00am-5:00pm (with flexibility).

Salary: $28.53 an hour.
