Medicaid Access Coordinator

Job Summary: The Medicaid Access Coordinator provides advanced coordination and subject-matter expertise to help clients access Medicaid and other public benefits. This role manages Integral Care's participation in the Texas Community Partner Program (TCPP), supports complex cases, delivers staff training, and improves workflows related to financial assessments, eligibility documentation, and benefits navigation. The position also plays a key role in supporting agency compliance with DPP-BHS requirements and strengthening Medicaid eligibility documentation to maximize reimbursement for behavioral health services. 

The Medicaid Access Coordinator provides client support through assisting clients with Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP, and other benefit applications and renewals, monitoring and enrolling Medicaid-eligible clients, including delegating cases as needed, and supporting clients using YourTexasBenefits.com, including account setup and document uploads. The role will also support clients in troubleshooting application delays, denials, and HHSC requests for additional information, as well as handling complex or escalated cases requiring coordination across programs. 

The Medicaid Access Coordinator will also provide coordination with Health and Human Services to manage Integral Care's participation in the Texas Community Partner Program, including onboarding, recertification, reporting, and staff training. Finally, the role will provide leadership and training to the financial teams, including coordinating CBO training records and enrollment, providing day-to-day guidance and technical support to Client Access Navigators, and providing training on Medicaid eligibility rules, document verification, YourTexasBenefits tools, and DPP-BHS expectations related to accurate eligibility determination.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Preferred:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

License:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Required:

  • 2+ years assisting clients with Medicaid/public benefits or experience as a CAN/Benefits Navigator
  • Knowledge of YoutTexasBenefits and HHSC Eligibility processes

Hours: Full - Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary: $61,124.46.
