Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary: The primary purpose of the LVN position is to provide general nursing care, administer medication and training to clients in a clinical environment. This position is expected to behave with professionalism, empathy, and positive regard for others in verbal, written, and non-verbal communications. The goal is to promote trauma informed practices, provide suicide safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment that promotes racial and health equity. This position calls for strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team and with both internal and external stakeholders. At this level, work is performed under moderate supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The LVN works under the direction of the RN, MD. This position is administratively responsible to the program or practice manager and clinically responsible to the assigned RN Supervisor or designee.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited LVN program.

Preferred

License:

Required:

  • Current LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license.
  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bilingual.
  • 1-2 years' experience providing direct care to persons with substance abuse, mental illness, or intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

Hours: Part-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday (flexible).

Workhours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM (flexible).

Salary: $27.17 - $34.64 an hour depending on years of licensure.
