Job Number: 25-12003
Job Summary: The Community-Based Therapist forges therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse community members and assists them in envisioning and realizing their desired life outcomes through the provision of evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
The Community-Based Therapist is embedded within an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals serving adults diagnosed with mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions. Our team primarily serves persons who are socioeconomically disadvantaged and many of our clients belong to one or more historically marginalized communities.
The Community-Based Therapist conducts appointments in the homes of individuals enrolled in their services, but may also deliver services at Integral Care's St. John Clinic or via telehealth.
Therapeutic interventions utilized are evidence-based, recovery-based and trauma-informed. The primary therapeutic modalities employed by the Community-Based Therapist should include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). However, other evidence-based therapeutic modalities can be incorporated dependent on the unique skills, abilities and experience of the clinician occupying the position. The majority of therapeutic interactions will be focused on the aforementioned therapeutic tasks, but crisis intervention will occasionally be needed to address emergent clinical circumstances.
The Community-Based Therapist joining our team should be fully licensed as a LCSW, LPC or LMFT. We welcome applicants of all experience levels and Integral Care (IC) is prepared to provide training opportunities to promote the professional growth and expertise of the clinician filling this position.
The Community-Based Therapist will complete daily clinical documentation and will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations and utilize clinical assessment measures to ensure optimal and personalized services.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
