LPHA Community-Based Mental Health Clinician (co-response model)

Job Number: 25-12443

Job Summary: Integral Care's Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Community-Based Mental Health Clinician to join our team as part of a dynamic co-response initiative with a Pflugerville Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer. The clinician will work directly alongside a CIT officer to respond to mental health-related calls in the community. This position is designed to help divert individuals from the overuse or misuse of emergency rooms, unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, and arrests for mental health-related issues, providing more appropriate and supportive care in real-time.

As an independent position, the clinician will be stationed at the Pflugerville Police Department and will co-respond with the CIT officer in the same vehicle, providing immediate mental health intervention and support. The clinician will be instrumental in fostering positive outcomes for individuals in crisis, offering both immediate care and connecting people with ongoing mental health services as needed. Additionally, the clinician and CIT officer will be responsible for providing crisis follow-up services, ensuring continuity of care and support for individuals after initial intervention.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
