Job Summary: This Caseworker Assistant position is located at 4800 Manor Road within the SAFE Alliance Campus. This position serves all clients ages 13-17 who are receiving respite at the cottage. The primary purpose of the position is to supervise the adolescents in order to maintain appropriate structure and safety. Position requires staff to monitor clients, enforce cottage rules, manage client behaviors, de-escalate clients who are upset, intervene in crises, engage clients in social and developmental activities. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Required:

• Minimum of 6 months working with persons with mental health diagnosis (and/or other disorders specific to the unit's population).
• Basic computer word processing/data entry abilities

Preferred:

• Experience in care of clients and residential environment.
  

Hours: Part-Time. 

Workhours: 12:00PM - 10:00PM.

Workdays: Saturday and Sunday.

Salary: $20.03 an hour, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
