Applications Developer

Job Summary: The Application Developer is responsible for managing the development, customization, and maintenance of Integral Care's Electronic Health Record System (EHR), and reports directly to the Director of Application Support. This position will oversee internal development needs within the agency's EHR, Netsmart myAvatar, and will work closely with business units to translate clinical and operational needs into effective technical solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring that EHR users across the organization are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to maximize system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  EHR System Management: Manage requests for EHR configuration, customization, and setup, with a focus on Netsmart myAvatar.
  • Technical Support & Analysis: Provide ongoing analysis, troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure the EHR system meets the evolving needs of the organization's operating units.
  • User Training & Documentation: Develop training materials and comprehensive documentation to inform and guide end-users on system updates, changes, and new features.
  • Interface Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of integrations between the EHR and other healthcare systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational requirements and create system workflows that improve patient care and internal processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Test system enhancements, updates, and new features to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with EHR platforms, particularly Netsmart myAvatar.
  • Strong understanding of database administration in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing software interfaces using APIs and custom workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on process improvement and system optimization.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation and training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

    Education:

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Statistics, or related field.

    License

    Required:

    • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

    Experience:

    Required:

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHR development, application development, or other computer sciences work, preferably within the behavioral health or healthcare sector.
    • Knowledge and experience with electronic health record application system administration strongly preferred.

    Hours: Full-Time. 

    Workdays: Monday - Friday.

    Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

    Salary: 75,733 annually.
